Benin Africa Tourism Awards Nominations: Four Nods for 2026

Benin Africa Tourism Awards

Benin has landed four nominations at the 2026 Africa Tourism Awards, which puts its cultural heritage and tourism appeal in front of a wider audience. The Benin Africa Tourism Awards nominations cover both the country’s destinations and how it promotes them.

The four categories are Country Destination of the Year, Cultural Destination of the Year, Tourism Board of the Year for Benin Tourism, and Tourism Video of the Year for Explore Benin, A World of Wonders. Public voting is open until October 29 and counts for 20 percent of the final score. The rest comes from judges and the Balearica Awards College. Winners are due to be announced in London on November 1.

The public vote is only a fifth of the score, so fans can help but cannot decide it. The Benin Africa Tourism Awards nominations also show two sides of the same push. Two categories reward the place itself, while the other two reward the work of selling it. For a West African nation trying to build an international profile, that mix matters.

Voting closes on October 29, and the winners come to London on November 1. Until then, the Benin Africa Tourism Awards nominations are a campaign tool for Benin Tourism, which can push Explore Benin and its heritage sites to voters.
