Safepal, A Cryptocurrency Wallet Provider, Reports A Data Breach Affecting the Order Information of About 40,000 Consumers

SafePal, a cryptocurrency wallet provider, revealed on Sunday that there had been an unauthorized access to about 39,798 clients’ order information, including personal information such names, addresses, and purchase details.

Between March 2, 2025, and April 11, 2026, access to another customer’s order details was made possible via an authorization issue in the order tracking system, according to a statement from SafePal.

According to its website, SafePal offers a range of safe crypto-management tools, including as browser, mobile, and hardware wallets, to assist users in storing and utilizing digital assets.

Access to “seed phrases,” private keys, wallet passwords, bank account and credit card details, or government-issued identification numbers was not compromised.

Passwords for wallets are often alphanumeric. For further protection, the wallet provider additionally provides a collection of random words called “seed phrases.” Only the user is aware of both of them. Customers lose access to their wallets if they misplace their passwords and phrases.

According to the company, the order information of impacted consumers could be utilized for targeted phishing and impersonation attempts as a result of the incident.

In response, SafePal announced it had resolved the problem and implemented additional security measures. It also stated that it would only keep customers’ personal information in its order processing system for ninety days.

More than thirty phishing links and bogus websites linked to the hack have been found and removed, according to the cryptocurrency hardware wallet provider.
