Tempsen’s IPO Listing: Stock Doubles With 111% Gain in 2026’s Biggest Debut

Tempsens Instruments made a strong entry into the stock market on Friday, with its shares more than doubling on the first day of trading. The company’s stock listed at Rs 634, compared with the IPO issue price of Rs 300, giving investors a 111.3% listing gain.
The performance made the Tempsens IPO the biggest IPO listing gain on Indian exchanges so far in 2026. The sharp debut came after strong investor interest during the subscription period.
The Rs 650 crore public issue received bids far above the number of shares available. The Tempsens IPO was subscribed 184.22 times by the end of the bidding period, highlighting the strong demand for the company’s shares before they entered the market.
Tempsens Instruments operates in the thermal engineering and specialised cable segment. Its products are used in areas where temperature measurement, monitoring and specialised cabling are important for industrial applications.
The company’s strong market debut means investors who received shares at the issue price saw the value rise significantly on the first trading day. A purchase at Rs 300 would have been valued at Rs 634 at the opening listing price, subject to market movements after the listing.
The Tempsens Instruments debut also stands out in a year when investors have continued to closely watch new companies entering the Indian stock market. A subscription level of more than 184 times indicated strong interest from investors across categories.
